Grateful Web's Blog Day Blogs!
Today is Blog Day. Here are our five pics.
You may never think to search on “Last Wishes” or “Cemetary” for your whole life. Then it ends, and hopefully someone you love does for you. When I found In Repose through Lijit, I was immediately reminded of my rare but recurring realization how little we contemplate such an important chapter in our and our loved ones lives. The Buddha advised being with a sentient being during their death is a very special gift. In Repose covers this material with great class and empathy. I find myself drawn into each story, and reluctant to leave the In Repose site once there. THANK YOU.

Oh no, the Carny Town staff are on Vacation until 9/3! They won’t know on Blog Day CARNY TOWN is one of Grateful Web’s Blog Day Blogs… But, who can resist anyway? I am fascinated with the real life behind the scenes world of Carny's and Showpeople and loved finding this blog on Lijit's Find an Expert. When they came to my home town last century in Suffern, NY, I wanted to talk to them behind the tents and fences more than ride their rides. Look at their faces, hear their accents and if lucky, get a road story or two out of them. Carny Town covers the companies, concessionaires, show routes and events, but have great background content too. They are helpful and welcome feedback, and are simply a ‘grate’ resource for finding you or your kids your very own CARNY. There is a ‘Carny Dating’ Link I’m always clicking on, but I think they are working on that one... Check out CARNY LINGO.

Beth’s laid back Gardening style fooled me. One
minute I was ooing over a flower post,
then ZAP! She’s killing a poisonous something or other. We all need to get some eye candy of our
world in between economics blogs, and coupled with Beth’s insights and positive
attitude, it’s hard not to smile. What
boss? Taking a break? ME? This is work I
am doing over here!

Speaking of Eye Candy, do photo blogs count, Mr.Blog Day Man? I searched Lijit’s find an Expert for “Car” and found some great pics of European cars here. But ooops, scrolling down a bit, I saw this Human Statue Pic and …wow! I am checking with Carlos to make sure posting this thumbnail is ok with him, all his images are copyright protected. You will get lost in his photo blog, Carlos is open to any subject matter, from Crickets about to be eaten, to Cat Whiskered children, Ponderous homeless, architecture and, oh my, food.

Yes that’s right. She’s Lijit. This is going to Visit At Least Once in your life on Grateful Web. Here is an excerpt from her ‘Au Bon Pain’ 19th & M, Washington D.C., review : “Oh man, does it pain me to write this one. I really love Au Bon Pain especially now that they have such a wonderful variety of soups. The one I reviewed is across the street from my hair salon, and I often run in there after an appointment to grab some soup before I head home. I have never entered the restroom facilities and now that I have, my afternoon soup runs (at least to this location) may be a thing of the past. I don't know where to begin, because honestly there was not one redeeming quality. OK maybe one; there weren't any living organisms visible to the naked eye. EVERYTHING was dirty!! The walls were dirty and appeared to never have had a wipe down, the caulk around the commode was dirty as was the commode itself. Additionally, the tank cover was missing pieces. The floor was wet and there was paper strewn about the room. There was unidentifiable black gunk on the walls by the auto paper towel dispenser. They almost got a point for having the automated towel dispenser, but it was NOT working!”

Checking to see if she has reviewed the Minnesota Airport facilities....

Thanks for mentioning In Repose!
I'm trying to figure out who writes this blog? Can I have a hint?
:)
