Pirates Listen With Last FM

Piratebay Pirate Bay, that glorious bastion of naughtiness that Prince and all that are stale (these days) love to hate and try to sue, have just done something very cool and indeed very savvy. Long live Swedish law.

They have attached the Last Fm API onto their torrent site. People have attacked Last FM a little for this but they say, anyone can use our API, that's why we built it. Of course Last FM are happy as Larry that all those Pirate Bay users are coming into contact with it.

The reason I like this so much is that most of the shopping / consuming online is search based in format. You want to grab some Rolling Stones tunes, you type that in and go grab. There is very little browsing. Browsing is a much more enjoyable way to shop than shopping from a list. So with this add-on you can go browsing for new music thinking, I want some more Rockabilly or Trance or music by people whose name begins with X. Anything. And so life improves.

Nice one people. More please.
